Schwinger-Dyson approach to non-equilibrium classical field theory

چکیده
In this paper we discuss a Schwinger-Dyson [SD] approach for determining the time evolution of the unequal time correlation functions of a non-equilibrium classical field theory, where the classical system is described by an initial density matrix at time t = 0. We focus on λφ4 field theory in 1+1 space time dimensions where we can perform exact numerical simulations by sampling an ensemble of initial conditions specified by the initial density matrix. We discuss two approaches. The first, the bare vertex approximation [BVA], is based on ignoring vertex corrections to the SD equations in the auxiliary field formalism relevant for 1/N expansions. The second approximation is a related approximation made to the SD equations of the original formulation in terms of φ alone. We compare these SD approximations as well as a Hartree approximation with exact numerical simulations. We find that both approximations based on the SD equations yield good agreement with exact numerical simulations and cure the late time oscillation problem of the Hartree approximation. We also discuss the relationship between the quantum and classical SD equations. PACS numbers: 11.15.Pg,11.30.Qc,25.75.-q, 3.65.-w

Integrability of Schwinger-Dyson Equations in 2D Quantum Gravity and c < 1 Non-critical String Field Theory
We investigate the integrability of the Schwinger-Dyson equations in c = 1 − 6 m(m+1) string field theory which were proposed by Ikehara et al as the continuum limit of the Schwinger-Dyson equations of the matrix chain model. We show the continuum Schwinger-Dyson equations generate a closed algebra. This algebra contains Virasoro algebra but does not coincide with W∞ algebra. We include in the ...
متن کاملNon-Perturbation Method on Quantum Electrodynamics (Atomic Shwinger-Dyson Method)
We proposed Relativistic Quantum Electrodynamics in matters under strong external fields obeying to Finite Schwinger Dyson Formalism. The original Schwinger-Dyson formalism (SD formalism) is generalized for the application to atoms, molecules and electron matters under external fields. Because the generalized formalism has some important differences from original SD formalism widely used in ele...

We first focus in Chapter 2 on infrared effects in finite–temperature quantum field theory. We propose a simple mathematical method (based on the largest–time equation and the Dyson–Schwinger equations) which allows systematic calculations of the change of density in energy/particles in heat–bath during a scattering/decay of external particles within the heat bath. A careful analysis reveals th...
متن کاملSchwinger-dyson Equation for Non-lagrangian Field Theory
A method is proposed of constructing quantum correlators for a general gauge system whose classical equations of motion do not necessarily follow from the least action principle. The idea of the method is in assigning a certain BRST operator Ω̂ to any classical equations of motion, Lagrangian or not. The generating functional of Green’s functions is defined by the equation Ω̂Z(J) = 0 that is redu...
متن کاملClassical Limit of Time-Dependent Quantum Field Theory-a Schwinger-Dyson Approach
We rewrite the Martin-Siggia-Rose (MSR) formalism for the statistical dynamics of classical fields in a covariant second order form appropriate for the statistical dynamics of relativistic field theory. This second order formalism is related to a rotation of Schwinger’s closed time path (CTP) formalism for quantum dynamics, with the main difference being that certain vertices are absent in the ...
